Practical Noise Control On Google+

Google+ can get noisy. Luckily Google keeps improving the noise controls.

Today, Google+ user +Shamil Weerakoon pointed out a great addition to the feature set. Now you can "mute" People and Pages directly from the comments in the notification box.

Very useful.

If you're unsure what "muting" someone does, it basically prevents anything they do ending up in your notifications. It's different to "blocking" someone, which prevents any interaction at all.

I was aware previously that you could "mute" people from notifications when they posted, (and also from their Profile page), but didn't realise that it was also available for comments.

Thanks for the tip +Shamil!
